About

What started as a New Year’s resolution in 2011 to spend more time with God and write more, has grown into a tool by which God is shaping and changing my life daily.

Amy Dunbar

The Best/Most Recent Family Shot I could find. Sorry :-/

My name is Amy Dunbar and I am first and foremost a follower of God, a Christian. I believe that there is and always will be one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ. (Want to read more about that go here.)

I am a wife, mother of two amazing boys who challenge me to be better than I was yesterday, sister, friend, daughter, writer, teacher, and overall a person of varied and eclectic interests. By God’s grace I have a bachelor’s in English Literature (minor in Theology) and a master’s in Journalism/Public Relations.  I enjoy drawing and painting and singing and playing the guitar, though none of those things I do very well. But somehow – somewhere – in the hurry-scurry of my world the words of life seem to roll out of the mommy-confused-daze I often I find myself living. I find myself in my writing and oddly learn about myself.

As I poor out my heart, struggle through verses and life lessons, and even share about my attempts to become a good steward, God is working in me, changing me, refining me.

I work from home as a communications and public relations specialist for small businesses and non-profits. My favorite client is The Forsaken Children – I am truly blessed to be able to help them. Over this past year God has broken my heart for Ethiopia in a way I didn’t think was possible.

I’m not perfect, and my life is far from it, but I am content and blessed beyond measure. I enjoy being me – the me God created me to be.
